Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer

In search of different weekend gateways from Hyderabad, this time I reached to Sanghi temple in Sanghi Nagar. Sanghi temple is one hour journey from Hitech city and its nearby Ramoji film city. The temple is situated on a hillock, known as Paramananda Giri,  and its Gopuram is visible from several kilometers. The temple is situated at a height thus it gives a beautiful view of the lush green fields. You can enjoy the sunset and sunrise at the temple with the soothing wind. The main deity of the temple is Lord Venkateshwara. The temple is built in the Chola-Chalukya architectural style and host almost all important Hindu deities.

The entry to the Sanghi Temple is through a long flight of steps that leads directly to Raja Gopuram, which is an entry to 9.5 feet tall Lord Venkateshwara idol. There is two more gopuram one in front of Lord Shiva and another Goddess Padmavati. The temple provides a majestic of the city, being at a height the temperature is little low and also you can feel fresh air. The entry gate of the main entrance is carved intricately and just in front of Lord Venkateshwara, you will find Garuda idol(a — of Lord Venkateshwara).

The temple also has several another deity as Lord Ram, Lord Lakshman and Goddess Sita, Lord Ganesha, Maa Durga, Nav Graha, Lord Anjaneya, Goddess Ashtalakshimi, and Kartikeya. The temple has a garden area and benches for visitors to rest. The temple has 30Rs parking charge for a car, normally people club Sanhi temple visit with Ramoji film city but going just to Sanghi temple to have the scenic view around is also worth visit. You can dine at Archana Dhaba which is the open garden restaurant, not a very good but to have food just in the middle of the green area is a different feeling. We sit in the backyard to have food and there was no construction beside it, the only thing you can is the long stretch field. There is various other option to dine in such as  Samrat, Sahara, Tara and Sitra Hotels, which are maintained by Mr. Ramoji Rao.

The Sanghi Temple is famous as a major shooting place Hollywood and Bollywood movies. The song “Mujhse Shadi Karogi” of movie “Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge” was shoot here. Some of the other movie Osaravelli, Bommarillu, Katamarayudu are also shoot here.

Best time to visit: Any day at sunrise or sunset

Distance from Hyderabad: Around 50km

Tips for the traveler: Get your car/bike filled with petrol as there is no petrol pump nearby and once you are on ORR you will not find anything. The nearest petrol pump is 10 km away and is in opposite direction from Hyderabad.
